Text alerts for breeders
Go Home Day can text a breeder when a buyer inquires about one of their puppies. This page describes exactly how that works. It applies to breeders with a Go Home Day account — we never text puppy buyers.
How a breeder opts in
- Sign in to the Go Home Day portal at app.gohomeday.com.
- Open Buyers. The panel is titled “Text me about inquiries.”
- Type the mobile number that should receive the alerts.
- Tick the consent box. It reads, word for word:
Text me at this number when someone inquires about my puppies. I agree to receive automated inquiry alerts from Go Home Day at the mobile number above. Message and data rates may apply. Message frequency varies. Reply STOP to cancel, HELP for help.
The box is not ticked for you and the form will not save without it. We record the number, the exact sentence above, the date and time, and the IP address it came from. Nobody is enrolled by signing up, by paying, or by any other action — only by ticking that box.
Consent belongs to the number, not the account. Changing the mobile number clears the consent and asks again.
What we send
One text when a buyer submits an inquiry or joins a waitlist on that breeder’s own site. Nothing else. No marketing, no promotions, no newsletters, and nothing about another kennel.
Frequency depends entirely on how many buyers write to that kennel. Most breeders receive a few texts a month. Message and data rates may apply.
Stopping them
- To stop
- Reply STOP, STOPALL, UNSUBSCRIBE, CANCEL, END, QUIT to any message. We reply once to confirm and then send nothing further: “Go Home Day: You are unsubscribed and will get no more texts from us. Your inquiries still arrive by email. Reply START to resume.”
- To start again
- Reply START, UNSTOP, YES, or turn alerts back on in the portal. We reply once to confirm: “Go Home Day: You're re-subscribed to inquiry alerts and will get a text when someone inquires about your puppies. Msg & data rates may apply. Msg frequency varies. Reply HELP for help, STOP to cancel.”
- For help
- Reply HELP or INFO and we answer: “Go Home Day: Inquiry alerts for breeders. Help: hello@gohomeday.com. Msg & data rates may apply. Reply STOP to cancel.”
- In the portal
- Buyers → Turn texts off, which deletes the number as well as the consent.
- By email
- hello@gohomeday.com
Inquiries always arrive by email as well. Stopping texts never costs a breeder a lead.
The number and your privacy
- The mobile number is used to send inquiry alerts and for nothing else. It is never shown on a kennel’s public website or in the marketplace.
- We do not sell, rent or share mobile numbers or consent records with anyone for marketing purposes. They are passed only to our messaging provider, Twilio, for the sole purpose of delivering these texts.
- We store the number, the consent wording, the timestamp and the originating IP address, because a consent record that cannot say what was agreed to is not a record.
- Turning alerts off in the portal deletes the number and the consent from the breeder’s account. To have the rest removed, email hello@gohomeday.com.
